Sleep Apnea 75 million people in the USA suffer from snoring. 60% of men and 40% of women

Undiagnosed and untreated sleep apnea affects approximately 18 million Americans. Sleep apnea increases the risk of high
blood pressure, heart disease and stroke.
Day time sleepiness is a side effect of sleep apnea. It has been estimated that the annual loss to the American economy
from sleep disorders is between 45 and 63 billion dollars.
Each year, sleep disorders add an estimated $16 billion to national health care costs. AAA motor club reports 50,000
car accidents per year caused by sleepy drivers. They further estimate that this number is grossly under reported.
